GIPS Kindy Children
On Tuesday 23rd of October 2025, a group of Staff and Kindergarten Children from
Glen Innes Public School come to Roseneath Aged Care Centre to visit with the residents.
Residents enjoyed watching the kid’s performance, listening to them read and joining in on playing
a letter game with all the children, Roseneath would like to say thank you to Glen Innes Public School
for allowing our residents to spend time with the children. It was a wonderful morning for us all.
Poem of the Month
HARD TIME by Rubi-Lee O’Connor
I am just a girl in hard times
I wish I could stop on a dime,
spread my wings like a bird
instead, I struggle to be heard.
Bullies come and bullies go
never understanding how to grow,
My family come and they go
making me feel a new type of low.
I still allow myself to glow
but not sure who to show,
this is life as I know it
I am just kid who needs you to show it.
Multi-Cultural Day
Esava, Leigh and Lemeki
On Tuesday the 23rd of September 2025, Roseneath residents and staff come together
and celebrated each other’s culture. We reminisce about the trip around the world
event, watching the video clips, telling stories of travels and traditions.
Residents and Staff spent the afternoon, laughing, eating good food and having drinks. What a
good end to a chapter everyone at Roseneath enjoyed being a part of.
Recipe of Month
Rocky Road by Nagi

Ingredients
Chocolate
225 – 250g / 8 oz dark chocolate melts or chips (1 1/2 cups) or block, chopped
225 – 250g / 8 oz milk chocolate melts or chips (1 1/2 cups) or block, chopped
2 tbsp coconut oil or any plain flavoured oil
Nagi’s Rocky Road Add-ins
3 cups marshmallows, pink and white, most cut in half (firmly pack the cups!)
3/4 cup raspberry Lollie’s, halved
1/3 cup desiccated coconut (or flakes), unsweetened
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
Method
1. Line a 20cm/8″ square pan with baking paper (parchment paper).
2. Melt chocolate – Place chocolate and oil in a bowl. Microwave in
30 second increments, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
3. Add-ins – Stir the Add-ins into the chocolate. Pour into pan, spreading out evenly.
4. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until fully cool.
Cut – Remove from the fridge 30 minutes prior to cutting.
I cut into 5 lines, then into chunks for eating or larger pieces for gifting!
GIPS Got Talent

On Friday 26th of September 2025 Glen Innes Public School Invited Roseneath Residents to
attend GIPS Got Talent Show and what a blast it was, all children that participated done
a fantastic job. Roseneath would like to say thank you to Glen Innes Public School for
allowing our Residents to be a part of the audience, everyone enjoyed watching the children
show their talents on the stage.

Roseneath would like to announce that our residents Bruce Campbell, Douglas Spencer,
Evelyn Hanson, Gordon Say, Marilyn Coggan and Marjorie Kerr who
celebrated a birthday in the month of September.
A Special Happy Birthday to Bruce, Douglas, Evelyn, Gordon, Marilyn and
Marjorie, we hope you had a wonderful day full of love and happiness.
