Social Isolation
Question: What is Social Isolation?
Answer: Persistent feelings of loneliness, sadness, or worthlessness, along with decreased energy, and poor sleep.
Key behavioral signs are avoiding social interaction, cancelling plans, withdrawing from hobbies,
neglecting self-care, and increased substance use or binge-watching.
Physical symptoms can include body aches, weakened immunity, and cognitive decline.
Question: Can this be treated?
Answer: Treatment is a slow process, will need to speak with GP maybe to get a referral or any
health providers that can refer patients to a community-based, non-clinical support group/services to improve well-being.
Important for families and staff to notice these signs.

Bus Trip To Raspberry Lookout and Boundary Falls.

- Our bus trip to Raspberry lookout and Boundary falls NSW was a great day for our residents with high views: Located off the Gwydir Highway, this lookout is perched on a spur historically used by Aboriginal people and early graziers to descend toward the Mann River. Visitors often witness mist swirling through the rugged valleys below, creating a “ghostly” effect. It is a prime spot to see wedge-tailed eagles riding the thermal updrafts.
- Boundary Falls: A short drive from raspberry lookout with a 200m walk (with steep steps) lead to this hidden waterfall, which crashes down over rocks into a clear pool. The area around the falls is known for its tall eucalyptus forests and quiet, deep bush, making it a perfect spot to escape the noise.
- With these two hidden gems it is rich with history. The rugged scenery was once a challenging route for loggers and miners, with remnants of their work still visible in the area. Visitors can camp near Boundary Falls, experiencing the same quiet, rugged atmosphere that the early explorers did, often with only the sounds of the bush for company. The area is best visited during March-April when the weather is cool and clear.
