Chair Volleyball
This month Roseneath has introduced a new activity called chair volleyball,
the two teams of residents gave it their all trying to win. This brought
happiness and laughter amongst us all watching the competitive side as well as the team work.
Poem of the Month
“Forgiveness”
Forgiveness
Is the mightiest sword
Forgiveness of those you fear
Is the highest reward
When they bruise you with words
When they make you feel small
When it’s hardest to take
You must do nothing at all…
– Jane Eyre.

2 rindless shortcut bacon rashers, finely chopped
1 (300g) zucchini, grated
2 cups self-raising flour
1 small red onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup grated vintage cheddar
1 egg
1 cup milk
Extra 2 tbsp grated vintage cheddar
Step 1
Preheat oven to 200C/180C fan-forced. Line a 12-hole, 1/3 cup-capacity muffin
pan with squares of baking paper.

Divide mixture between prepared pan holes. Sprinkle with extra cheese and
remaining bacon. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until golden and firm to touch.
Stand in pan for 5 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store muffins in an
airtight container in the fridge or wrap each muffin in plastic
wrap, then foil and freeze for up to 2 months.

Celebrating 63 Years
On Wednesday the 30th of July Roseneath celebrated 63 years. In 1962 Roseneath
was first open into a care home for older adults and it has grown over time
providing a respectful home to many. At Roseneath we believe it’s important to celebrate
and acknowledge the history of Roseneath Aged Care Centre.
Roseneath would like to say thank you to the team at Glen Innes
& District Historical Society for helping to gather the history information and
The Glen Pie Shop for the beautiful cake that was made for this special occasion.
