On Friday the 12th of December Roseneath
Staff come together at the Glen Innes show ground
and celebrated their Christmas party with games, food and music. A huge thank you
to all staff that assisted with setting up and contributed by bring a dish of food to share with everyone.

Recipe of the Month
Christmas pancake tree

150g (1 cup) self-raising flour
2 tbsp caster sugar
185ml (3/4 cup) milk
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
300ml ctn thickened cream
45g (1/4 cup) icing sugar, sifted, plus extra, to dust
Fresh red fruit (such as strawberries, raspberries and cherries), to decorate
Maple syrup, to serve
Step 1 Combine the flour and sugar in a large bowl. Make a well in the
centre and add the milk, egg and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
Step 2 Heat a lightly greased non-stick pan over medium-low heat. Separately pour 3 tablespoonfuls,
2 tablespoonfuls and 1 tablespoonful of pancake mixture into the pan to make
3 different-sized pancakes. Cook for 1 minute each side or until golden.
Repeat to make 3 more pancakes in the same sizes.
Step 3 Repeat step 2 with 3 teaspoonfuls, 2 teaspoonfuls and 1 teaspoonful of pancake
mixture to make 3 smaller sized pancakes. Repeat to make 3 more pancakes in the same sizes.
Step 4 Use electric beaters to beat the cream and icing sugar in a bowl until firm peaks form.
Spoon into a plastic piping bag and snip off the end to create a small opening. Divide the
2 largest pancakes between serving plates. Pipe on some cream and decorate with some of the fruit.
Top with the next biggest pancake. Repeat layering with cream, fruit and pancakes in
ascending order, finishing with fruit. Drizzle over maple syrup
and sprinkle with coconut flakes. Dust with icing sugar to serve.
Residents Christmas Party

On 17th December Roseneath held a Resident Christmas Party
in the community hall, the morning was filled with dancing, singing and a
wonderful surprise for the residents. Ray White staff brought a load of presents
to Roseneath and delivered them to each resident bringing Christmas cheer to them all.
Roseneath would like to say thank you to Ray White Real-estate for their
generosity. Thank you to all the Roseneath staff that assisted to make the
day special for our residents.
Ask your Doctor
This will be a new thing added to the Roseneath Newsletter, when we see a doctor
sometimes we forget to ask the common questions that slip our minds.
Every month the residents will have an opportunity to ask the doctor a
common health questioned to be answered by our local doctor.
Question: Why is our skin getting really dry and how do we prevent it?
Answer: There is many reasons for dry skin including sun but to help with
prevention use moisturiser in regular intervals which will
help with dryness and itch control.
